The University of Gamebridge is an intermittent (due mostly to lack of time) blog on hobby/tabletop gaming, game culture, game design, the industry, etc.
The name is intended to reflect a commitment to high standards and a somewhat academic approach (as far as possible posts will be thoroughly researched, referenced, etc), as well as a desire to cohere a community of like-minded individuals and to contribute to contemporary thought about games and gaming.
The author is at the University of Cambridge, but is not studying or researching ludology there. He looks forward to comments from anyone thinking deeply about games, particularly tabletop game design and techniques. ‘Luke Reinhardt’ is a pseudonym, a corruption of ‘Luke Rhinehart,’ which is the name of both the author and the protagonist of ‘The Dice Man.’
